About The Position

We are seeking a 1st Class Handyperson to join our team at BAE Systems Inc. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for completing grinding, scaling, and other surface preparation activities, as well as cutting and tacking work, and being familiar with hot work requirements. You will also help mechanics and tradespeople with installations, maintenance, and repairs, and follow safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Work Authorization Forms (WAF). You will work with hand tools, power tools, and small shop equipment, and maintain clean and safe job sites while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1 to 2 years’ relevant trade experience
Read blueprints
Use a tape measure to 1/16”
Understand basic math and measurements
Stand or walk for long periods
Work in confined spaces
Wear required safety gear
U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

5-years experience in maritime/marine industrial operations

Responsibilities
