Requirements

Self-management skills, as the role often involves working alone.
Ability to communicate with customers, provide excellent customer service, request reviews, and collect payments.
Possession of necessary tools and the ability to use technology.
Documentation of jobs following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
Adherence to wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customer homes.
Living within the service area.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a paid handyman.
Ownership of personal tools.
Insurability for driving a company vehicle.
Successful completion of a background and driving record check.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
Capability to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods.
Maintaining a professional appearance and taking care of the company-provided vehicle.
Strong proficiency in at least three of the following areas: Carpentry work, Bathroom improvements, Kitchen improvements, Painting (interior and exterior), Drywall work (minor and major repairs), General plumbing and electrical (where permitted by law), Floor installation and refurbishing.
Familiarity with building codes.

Responsibilities

Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project lengths ranging from two hours to two days.
Communicating with customers to help them understand their needs, manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.
Delivering a great experience that creates life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way, a repeatable process designed to consistently impress customers.
