About The Position

ABCO Facility Maintenance is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual to work in its Staten Island facility. No professional repair experience is required; paid, hands-on training is provided to help the employee develop equipment and small-engine repair skills and build a long-term career. The role involves inspecting, cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing tools and equipment while helping keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfort working with tools and equipment.
• Reliability and organization, with eagerness to develop new skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Shop, warehouse, automotive, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, test, and troubleshoot tools and equipment.
• Assist with repairs and parts replacement.
• Work on generators, pressure washers, power tools, and other equipment.
• Keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient.
• Learn equipment and small-engine repair through hands-on training.
