About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Handyman to perform residential and light commercial maintenance work. Duties may include pipe fitting, insulating, welding, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, repairing buildings, floors, or stairs, and installing new equipment. The role suits someone who is hardworking, a team player, and dedicated to quality work. Significant prior professional maintenance experience is highly preferred, and a positive attitude is required.

Requirements

Previous experience as a handyman or in general maintenance.
Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations, including OSHA.
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Must be qualified to work at heights above 30 feet using a ladder, lift, or bucket truck boom.
Ability to lift more than 40 pounds consistently.
A positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Significant prior experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Repair machines, equipment, or structures using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, or electrical and electronic testing devices.
Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
