About The Position
TruBlue of East Wake & Northern Johnston County is a new locally owned franchise serving homeowners throughout Wake and Johnston Counties. We provide professional handyman services, home maintenance, home safety modifications, and repair solutions that help seniors age safely in place while supporting busy families throughout our community. We are looking for a dependable Handyman Helper / Home Service Technician Assistant who is eager to learn, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to build a career in the skilled trades. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while gaining valuable experience in carpentry, home repairs, maintenance, and customer service.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Comfortable working in occupied homes, including homes of seniors and vulnerable adults
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day

Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with home repair and maintenance projects
- Prepare work areas and organize materials
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and supplies
- Perform cleanup and job site organization
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, flooring, and general home maintenance tasks
- Learn proper repair techniques and safe work practices
- Help deliver a positive customer experience on every job
