Requirements

  • Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person roles within commercial or healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and safety instructions clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and task management.
  • Ability to work independently while following safety protocols diligently.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with electrical systems or building automation controls.
  • Certification or training in electrical safety or building maintenance standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the donation center's equipment, fixtures, and structural components to ensure optimal operation.
  • Use tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical systems, identify faults, and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Conduct repairs or coordinate repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility's work areas, storage spaces, and equipment storage rooms.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of donation stations and related equipment for daily operations or special events.
  • Monitor facility safety protocols by inspecting fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency exits, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and safety inspections conducted.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
