About The Position

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is seeking a Handover Package Coordinator to provide administrative and technical coordination support to the Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF) project team. This role involves maintaining handover documentation, tracking package readiness, and supporting turnover activities from construction to commissioning.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or certification in a related field related to construction or project administration, a combination of relevant skills and experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years experience supporting construction, engineering, quality, or commissioning documentation or handover activities.
  • Strong organizational and document control skills.
  • Ability to track, reconcile, and maintain large volumes of project documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision using established procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to resolve routine to moderately complex issues.
  • Must provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams to support the definition and application of turnover boundaries, package content, acceptance criteria, and handover priorities.
  • Review inspection and test records, redlines, punch lists, and supporting documentation to verify packages are ready for handover.
  • Prepare, apply, and maintain approved handover procedures, workflows, templates, and checklists to support a consistent and auditable turnover process across the project.
  • Track package status from mechanical completion through turnover, highlighting missing documents, quality gaps, overdue inspections, and unresolved deficiencies.
  • Organize and support kick off meetings, walkdowns, and readiness reviews with stakeholders to validate package completeness and agree on transfer of custody.
  • Verify handover documentation against project standards, regulatory requirements, quality expectations, and commissioning systemization strategy and flag discrepancies for resolution.
  • Identify and escalate bottlenecks, interface issues, and documentation risks in accordance with established escalation paths and support follow-up actions to minimize impacts to commissioning activities.
