About The Position

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking motivated occupational (OT) and physical therapists (PT) passionate about hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. This role is for therapists with a solid foundation in hand therapy, eager to build experience through mentorship, advanced training, and hands-on practice. Responsibilities include setting clear patient expectations, providing evidence-based, patient-centered care for conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and customer service. A collaborative spirit is valued to foster a community environment for patients and team members.

Requirements

  • Hold a license (or be license eligible) to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy in the State of New York.
  • Completed a Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy OR equivalent experience during clinical education.
  • Masters or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotic fabrication, and patient education.
  • Empower patients with home programs and strategies that support their functional goals and recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes.
