Hand Therapist OT
About The Position
As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities. Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients. To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player. Responds to requests for service and initiates referrals when appropriate. Following screening to determine need for intervention. Assesses patients/residents to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation per physician's orders. Interprets evaluation findings to patients/residents, family, significant others and care team. Develops treatment plans, including goals and methods to achieve identified goals. Coordinates treatment plans with patients/residents, family, significant others and care team. Implements treatment directly or supervises treatment by a certified Occupational Therapy assistant and/or an Occupational Therapy aide.
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist
- Occupational Therapist: CA, upon hire
- American Heart Association BLS-CPR, within 30 Days
