Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum patient rehabilitation. Provides Occupational Therapy services as defined by the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act applying principles and theories of occupational sciences in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying patient care as an active continuous process. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist II will provide Occupational Therapy services within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Moreover, this individual will demonstrate accountability for, and contribution to, the Department’s daily operations, including fulfilling charge duties as requested; exhibiting fiscal responsibility through accurate time-keeping of assigned work shifts (which includes compliance with management-designated start/end times); participation in program development and quality improvement activities as requested by management; and adherence to the Department’s established productivity standards. All responsibilities will be carried out in a manner reflective of El Camino Health’s We Care values and Medical Staff Code of Conduct and Professional Behavior. Position is enterprise wide, employees will be required to float between campuses. Additionally, the Physical Therapist II will provide Physical Therapy services within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Requirements

  • Completion Accredited Occupational Therapy Program; Master’s degree or Doctorate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience; if working in NICU, at least one year experience in NICU care
  • Meets Career Ladder requirements of Level II Therapist
  • Current valid California Occupational Therapy license
  • Current BLS (Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
  • CCS-Paneled or in process if working in NICU
  • Completion of Accredited Physical Therapy Program; Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience; if working in NICU, at least one year experience in NICU care
  • Meets Career Ladder requirements of Level II Therapist
  • Current valid California Physical Therapy license
  • Current BLS (Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
  • CCS-Paneled or in process if working in NICU/OP Pediatrics

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate degree preferred (for OT)
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred (for PT)
