About The Position

Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking a hand surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor. This role is designed to complement an existing practice, involving approximately 4-hour shifts on-site at Concentra, either weekly or bi-weekly. The surgeon will manage medically complex patients, facilitate return to work, and provide specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries, including both non-surgical and surgical treatments. Collaboration with medical and therapy providers, communication with employers, and active participation in case management are key aspects of this role. The treatments provided aim to significantly improve patients' lives.

Requirements

• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hand Surgery
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
