About The Position

This position is responsible for using appropriate tools to sand furniture. The job requires the individual to read production tickets, manually sand wood furniture and frames using various jigs and tools, and repair minor defects in the wood using appropriate tools and materials. The role also involves working as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous sanding experience a plus
• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• While standing, position will require bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to work in dusty environments
• Must have manual dexterity in order to operate tools as directed
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
