About The Position

Performs operations to hand sand exposed wood frame parts, frame sub-assemblies, and/or materials. Work on a variety of parts as assigned performing sanding operations for correct smoothness to ensure completion of work is to quantity and quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to use moving motorized conveyor.
Ability to maneuver around and step over conveyor system.
Ability to hand sand sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans and beds.
Ability to timely sand the frame by rubbing the pad against the exposed wood.
Ability to rotate the frame or pallet.
Ability to remove defective frames from the finish conveyor with the help of a co-worker.

Responsibilities

Use moving motorized conveyor that brings the next frame or frame sub-assembly to the sander.
Maneuver around and step over the conveyor system in order to perform the job.
Use sand paper pads to hand sand sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans and beds to assure appropriate smoothness.
Timely sand the frame by rubbing the pad against the exposed wood.
Rotate the frame or pallet to make sure the entire frame is sanded.
Remove defective frames from the finish conveyor with the help of a co-worker.
May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
