About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and optimize product placement. The role involves building relationships with local store teams and representing Hallmark professionally. Merchandisers may also work with other companies’ products in stores and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations.

The position includes day-to-day service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, the merchandiser restocks, organizes, and monitors Hallmark inventory and displays, reports time, communicates with a supervisor, provides feedback, and completes surveys. Work varies with seasonal demand; additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays. Department resets can include installing or relocating fixtures and card departments, sometimes during evenings or weekends. The role averages 2–6 hours per week with a variable schedule during the work week.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and inventory in assigned stores, including products inside and outside the Hallmark department.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement.
• Use a mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service during seasonal and holiday periods, including extended hours and, when required, work on the holiday itself.
• Support installations and department resets, including building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
