About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. You are responsible for Hallmark product displays at assigned stores and may occasionally work with products from other companies. The work includes routine merchandising, seasonal holiday support, department resets and installations, and supporting other merchandisers in their territories.

The position averages 8–12 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and during season changes, installations, and inventory support. Work may include evenings, weekends, and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Starting pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the Hallmark product displays at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with local store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal demand around holidays, potentially working additional days and extended hours, including weekends or the holiday itself when required.
• Participate in department resets and installations, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Provide availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
