The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with retailer teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, while representing Hallmark professionally. Merchandisers may occasionally work with products from other companies in stores they service and support other team members in their territories. The position is part-time, averages 8–12 hours per week, and has a variable schedule during the work week. Seasonal demand may bring additional days and extended hours around major holidays. The role also includes department resets, installations, fixture assembly, and product or department relocations, sometimes during evenings or weekends. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience; eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is physically demanding work performed on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communications, and need reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.
