About The Position

The Hall Lead Mental Health Associate (MHA) provides direct care to adolescent residents with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being. Hall Leads are primarily responsible for resident safety on the unit, using a therapeutic approach in all tasks. This includes assisting with daily activities, facilitating groups, and aiding in the intake and discharge process. Hall Leads are also responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing crisis intervention, and setting a positive example for other MHAs. Additionally, Hall Leads assist in training new MHAs.

Requirements

  • Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills.
  • Able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
  • Successfully pass background screen (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred.
  • Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
