About The Position
Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Fee for Service Haitian Creole Interpreter on an as-needed basis to work with the pediatric population (children birth to 3 years). This role involves assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing written and verbal interpretation services during program hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm). The position offers mileage reimbursement between visits and a company-issued cellphone.
Requirements
- Fluency in Haitian Creole/English.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English required.
- Ability to interpret written materials in the pursuit of service delivery (via text or email).
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to meet the required competency level in Microsoft Office Software.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Provide interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings, and remotely when necessary.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
- Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
