About The Position

Fox Subacute- South Philadelphia is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and talented Hairstylist/Barber to provide professional hair care services to residents in our long-term care ventilator and trach facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills to help residents look and feel their best while building meaningful relationships in a caring and supportive environment.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology license in PA
• MUST carry your own liability insurance
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful when working with older adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and sanitation practices.

Nice To Haves

• Long term care experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, hairstyling, beard trimming, and basic grooming services for residents.
• Consult with residents to understand their preferences and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Disinfect tools and equipment after each use.
• Foster a warm, respectful, and positive experience for all residents.
• Collaborate with Activity Director to accommodate residents' needs and schedules.
