Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts Cosmetology License
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and assist residents as needed
- Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
- Applicants may be subject to a background check.
- Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Nice To Haves
- 1-year prior experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide hair services including cutting, styling, shampooing, coloring, and perms
- Consult with residents to understand preferences and styling needs
- Maintain a reliable weekly schedule
- Assist wheelchair-bound residents to and from the salon
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families
- Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Benefits
- Competitive Pay: $23.00-$25.00/hr, based on experience
- Schedule: One day/week (8hrs), flexible scheduling between 8:00AM - 4:00PM
- Supportive Environment: On-site in-house salon with a built-in client base
