About The Position

Hairdresser / Barber Sheridan, Wyoming Type Part Time Hairdresser Position: Hairdresser / Barber Location: Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center Schedule: One day per week, approximately 5–10 hours per week Big Horn Rehab and Care is now under new ownership by Eduro Healthcare LLC - bringing new leadership, renewed commitment, and new career opportunities to Sheridan. Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate licensed hairdresser/barber to provide hair care services to our residents one day per week. The hairdresser will provide professional haircuts, styling, and basic grooming services in a comfortable and respectful environment.

Requirements

Current cosmetology/barber license in good standing, as applicable.
Reliable and able to commit to working one scheduled day each week.
Patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with elderly residents.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage appointments/services efficiently.
Must be willing to follow the nursing home's safety, sanitation, infection-control, and resident-care policies.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with older adults is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide haircuts, trims, styling, and other basic hair services requested by residents.
Provide services with patience, kindness, and respect for each resident's preferences and abilities.
Communicate appropriately with residents, families, and nursing home staff.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
Clean and disinfect tools and equipment between residents and follow facility infection-control requirements.
Work safely around residents who may have mobility limitations or other special needs.
Keep track of services provided and any applicable charges.
Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality.
Follow all applicable state licensing and facility requirements.
