About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, compassionate team player to join us. Experience working in dermatology, cosmetic or plastic surgery, aesthetics, or hair restoration preferred but not required. This position will focus on assisting with and documenting consultations, patient follow up appointments, and assisting with other hair and skin related procedures at this time. However, we also expect all of our medical assistants to be willing to cross train in hair restoration surgery should the need arise. We are looking for someone flexible and adaptable as the amount a medical assistant spends in clinic and/or surgery is completely dependent on the needs of the clinic and may be subject to change based on business needs. There is no guarantee as to how much time (if any at all) a medical assistant is assigned to clinic versus surgery.

Requirements

Active CMA certification in Washington State
Active BLS certification
Up to date vaccinations (Hep B, Tdap, MMR)
Ability to Commute : Bellevue, WA 98004 (Required)

Nice To Haves

Experience working in dermatology, cosmetic or plastic surgery, aesthetics, or hair restoration preferred but not required.
medical assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Obtaining vital signs (BP, pulse, O2 saturation)
Patient intake including review of medical history and patient interview
Documentation of patient visits, including scribing notes for the provider and medical data entry
Patient phone calls (answering medical questions, providing results for labs and pathology, performing pre-op calls)
Sending prescriptions via EMR and communicating with pharmacies as needed
Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments via Autoclave or Cold Sterilization processes
Taking patient pre and post treatment photos
Performing HairMetrix analysis to provide data for patient treatments and progress
Maintaining clinic cleanliness and safety by cleaning actively throughout the day and closing procedure rooms at the end of the day according to safety standards
Phlebotomy and preparation of plasma for treatments
Assisting providers with in office treatments and procedures such as scalp injections, scalp biopsies, laser treatments, and aesthetic injections
Prepping trays and patient exam rooms for procedures and treatments
Maintaining lab logs and pathology logs to ensure patients’ results are being tracked and followed up on
Performing facials and scalp treatments via the Aquafirme device
Filling out forms and documents with an excellent attention to detail (lab slips, pathology slips, medical release forms, consents for treatment)
Assisting with surgery room set up and clean up according to Hair cleanliness and safety standards
Assisting during hair transplant surgery
Trimming, slivering, and placing grafts in hair restoration surgery
