About The Position

Blo Danforth, the fastest growing Blowout Bar in Toronto, is rapidly expanding and seeking to add hair stylists, assistants, and makeup artists to its talented team. The location in Toronto/Greektown serves a fabulous clientele of regular guests and is continuously adding new ones, capturing the market east of the DVP across residential areas like Yorkville, Greektown, Riverdale, Leslieville, and Beaches. The company is looking for both full-time and part-time hair stylists and makeup artists with fun, positive personalities, a passion for beauty, and a drive to succeed. Paid, hands-on training is provided. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays is a must as these are the busiest days. Additionally, Blo Danforth is seeking a receptionist/front desk/guest experience coordinator/salon assistant. This position can be tailored to the individual's strengths, with roles and responsibilities established collaboratively to best support the team. Blo is an industry leader with over 100 North American locations and a recognized international presence in the hair and beauty industry. They partner with amazing product brands including UNITE haircare, Glo Skin Beauty, ColorWow, Moroccan Oil, Patchology, Tweezerman, Olaplex!, and K18! The corporate team supports salon staff, offering ongoing training, educational programs, product knowledge, skill development, and career advancement opportunities for hairstylists.

Requirements

Work weekends and are flexible with scheduling
Love making people feel beautiful, special and valued
The ability to work weekends (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday preferred) and be flexible with your schedule (must be able to work peak hours as determined by the bar, typically Thursday through Saturday)
A passion for the beauty and cosmetology industry and making people feel better
Hair styling: 1 year (required)
Hair school 1 year (required)
Hair salon 1 year (required)
