About The Position

The Hair Stylist provides salon clients with professional hair-care services and reports to the Salon Manager. This is a nonexempt, part-time position. The salon seeks creative, motivated, goal-oriented team members who enjoy working collaboratively and continuing to learn. Weekly in-salon training and opportunities to attend outside education classes are offered. Salons are located in high-traffic premier mall locations throughout the Southeast.

Requirements

Possess a valid and current board-certified license.
Be able to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment.
Be able to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
Acknowledge clients within a reasonable time after they check into the salon.
Build a client base by recruiting New Request Clients and maintaining Customer Client Cards.
Provide quality professional service using technical skills and recommend appropriate retail products to clients.
Respond professionally to customer-service issues and promptly address complaints.
Exhibit good communication skills.
Continue education on products, services, and current industry issues.
Ensure the personal work area and salon meet or exceed State Board regulations.
Perform salon housekeeping, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining client cards.
Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
Communicate issues and needs to Salon Management.
Meet salon attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Maintain a current professional appearance and comply with the salon dress code.
