About The Position

Are you a talented stylist who loves working with kids and wants to make a difference in their lives? Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids is seeking passionate Hair Stylists to join our energetic team! Our goal is to provide families with an amazing, stress-free haircut experience and help all kids "Discover How Much Fun A Haircut Can Be!" From our indoor slide and touch-screen play units to our fantasy chairs, individual TVs, and video games, we create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere designed to put both children and parents at ease. As a stylist on our team, you will do much more than deliver flawless cuts—you will use your patience, gentle care, and specialized training to turn a potentially scary chore into a fun tradition that children want to experience again and again.

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited cosmetology school and a valid state cosmetology/barber license is required.
Proven experience as a stylist or hairdresser is preferred, but a genuine passion for working with children and infants is absolutely essential.
Outstanding patience, a warm demeanor, and the emotional intelligence required to handle children experiencing stress or sensory overload.
Up-to-date with fashion and beauty trends, with an in-depth understanding of diverse hair textures and cutting techniques.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, build rapport with children, and establish trusted relationships with parents.

Responsibilities

Deliver One-of-a-Kind Experiences: Provide high-quality haircuts, trims, and styles using basic and advanced techniques while utilizing our unique setup of fantasy chairs, games, and kids' shows.
Put Children at Ease: Use kid-friendly techniques and tools—including bubbles, suckers, and balloons—to comfort frightened, nervous, or squirming infants and children.
Provide Sensitive, Specialized Care: Patiently work with children who have sensory issues or special needs. Be willing to adapt to the child’s comfort level, even if it means delivering a great haircut while walking around the salon floor.
Engage with Parents: Consult closely with parents, walk them through the haircut step-by-step, make expert styling recommendations, and introduce them to our top-tier natural child hair care lines.
Maintain Salon Standards: Keep styling stations, tools, hairwashing areas, and the indoor play zone clean, orderly, and thoroughly sanitized daily.
Technical Versatility: Wash hair with appropriate child-safe products, apply specialized hair treatments, and provide a range of styling options from casual everyday cuts to formal updos.
