Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts Cosmetology License
- Personal liability insurance
- Must provide own professional equipment and supplies
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and assist residents as needed
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with seniors or in healthcare settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide hair services including cutting, styling, shampooing, coloring, and perms
- Consult with residents to understand preferences and styling needs
- Maintain a reliable bi-weekly schedule
- Assist wheelchair-bound residents to and from the salon
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families
- Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
