Hair Salon Manager or Hair Designer - Licensed Cosmetologist
About The Position
SmartStyle Salon, conveniently located inside Walmart, is a premier salon offering high-quality hair services. Our team of passionate and talented professional hairstylists is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our clients. This role is for a Hair Stylist/Designer Manager who will provide exceptional leadership, guest service, understand guest needs, provide quality consultations, and perform services requested in an efficient and professional manner. The franchise owner, Requis Inc., is one of the largest salon franchises in the US with over 500 employees nationwide.
Requirements
- Current cosmetology or barber license as required by State regulations.
- Desire to lead a salon.
- Tech savvy.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks.
- Ability to close out the system at the end of the day.
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
- Good eyesight to observe a guest’s hair, including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Comfortable with standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements.
- Occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.
- Comfortable with fragrances and chemicals used in treatments.

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership and guest service.
- Understand guest needs and provide quality consultations.
- Perform hair services, including haircuts, color, highlights, and waxing, in an efficient and professional manner.
- Lead a salon.
- Perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day.
- Read, write, and do basic math.
