At Team Sailing (dba Great Clips), we believe the right people make the right salon. We’re looking for positive, reliable, self-motivated folks who want to grow with us. Culture fit matters as much as skill here. We’re hiring for Manager and Assistant Manager roles. To be upfront, this is a fast track to management, not a job where you start as a manager. You’ll go through about 3 months of paid training, and once you meet the requirements for an official promotion, we’ll help you move up.

Requirements

A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
Strong technical haircutting skills and the ability to help others grow their skills and confidence
Proven leadership ability or readiness to take on full salon responsibility
Excellent communication skills and the desire to motivate, develop, and support a team
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage day-to-day salon operations
Comfort with technology and salon tools (scheduling systems, metrics, and reports)
A goal-oriented mindset with a focus on team performance and customer experience
Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Previous leadership experience is helpful but not always required.

Responsibilities

Lead the team, manage salon operations, and deliver haircuts, depending on salon needs.
Coach, develop, and motivate a team of stylists.
Manage day-to-day salon operations.
Focus on team performance and customer experience.
Provide services to customers, splitting time between management responsibilities and providing services.
Guide salon teams in brand delivery and achieve GREAT results.
