About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as a hands-on Salon Manager. The role combines leading and developing a team, managing daily salon operations, and providing haircuts to customers, with the balance of management and floor work varying according to the salon’s needs. Managers receive leadership and technical training, ongoing support, and operational systems and resources to help them build a strong team culture and deliver the Great Clips brand experience. The LEADS development program offers training in guiding salon teams and achieving results. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and the ability to help others develop their skills and confidence.
• Proven leadership ability or readiness to take on full salon responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to motivate, develop, and support a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day salon operations.
• Comfort with technology and salon tools, including scheduling systems, metrics, and reports.
• Goal-oriented mindset focused on team performance and customer experience.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous leadership experience is helpful but not always required.
• Experience as an Assistant Manager or an experienced stylist ready to take on full leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead salon operations and manage day-to-day activities.
• Coach, develop, motivate, and support a team of stylists.
• Provide haircuts and customer services as needed.
