About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as a hands-on leader responsible for coaching and developing stylists, building a strong team culture, managing day-to-day salon operations, and delivering haircuts as needed. Salon Managers divide their time between management responsibilities and customer services, with the balance depending on the salon’s needs. The role offers leadership and technical training, operational support, salon technology, and a steady flow of customers in a busy, fast-paced environment. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

A valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
Strong technical haircutting skills and the ability to help others develop their skills and confidence.
Proven leadership ability or readiness to take on full salon responsibility.
Excellent communication skills and an interest in motivating, developing, and supporting a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day salon operations.
Comfort with technology and salon tools, including scheduling systems, metrics, and reports.
A goal-oriented mindset focused on team performance and customer experience.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
