Requirements

  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Constant bending and stooping, or walking and standing, for 8 to 10 hrs.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Work in moist and cold environment - approximately 40 degrees.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience.
  • Basic math functions and skills.
  • Verbal & Written English skills required.
  • Knowledge of food products, food processing and GMPs are helpful.
  • Some knowledge of computers or willing to learn about computers.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for ensuring we follow our company's HACCP plan.
  • Responsible for monitoring HACCP CCP’s at the specified frequency as stated in the plant’s HACCP plan or as necessary depending on conditions.
  • Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with Production & QA Team Members regarding any deviations from the Critical limits for the CCP being monitored.
  • Assist Production with day to day problems and reach workable solutions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by their supervisor.
