ALL4 is looking for a Habitat Restoration Specialist for our San Juan Capistrano, CA office. This individual will assist in identification of mitigation for projects, assist the regulatory team in preparation and processing of the Habitat Mitigation and Monitoring Plans (HMMPs), assist with compliance with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Habitat Management Lands Acquisition (HMLA) documentation and processing, coordinate contract grow contracts with native habitat nurseries, and oversee restoration in the field by landscape contractors, including approval of plant materials as they arrive on-site. The Habitat Restoration Specialist is responsible for and oversees staff biologists providing five-year monitoring and reporting as well as final success sign-off with the resource agencies. This individual manages staff, coordinates with clients, regulators, landscape contractors, and nurseries, and oversees projects to be completed both on time and within budget. The Habitat Restoration Specialist has demonstrated success with mitigation sites, excellent follow-through and project management skills; and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and agency representatives. Additional skills beneficial to the role, but not required, include landscape design; regulatory permit preparation and processing; Biological Technical Report and associated document preparation and processing; sensitive species focus survey experience; and CEQA/NEPA experience. To perform this role, the Habitat Restoration Specialist must reside in Southern California, or be willing to relocate.
