Franklin County Medical Center (FCMC) is seeking a Habilitative Support Paraprofessional to join their DDA department. This role involves working with adults and children with developmental disabilities to provide services aimed at improving their lives. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have six months of supervised experience with children with disabilities
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit
- Required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must submit to COVID-19 testing as required by CMS and other regulatory agencies according to FCMC policy
- Have full COVID-19 vaccination (some exemptions allowed)
Responsibilities
- Following programs written by Developmental Specialists to teach clients developmental skills
- Collecting data and documenting services after every visit
- Facilitating clients’ integration into the community by providing support and assistance during social activities
- Potentially providing personal care for clients, including toileting, oral hygiene care, and eating assistance
