About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Maiden, Sherrill's Ford, and Denver. In this role, you will work one-on-one in home and community settings, serving as a companion and mentor to Children, Teens and Adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, helping them live fuller, more independent lives. This is an ideal part-time opportunity for individuals interested in supporting others as they work towards their goals of independence. BAYADA offers scholarship and developmental opportunities.

Requirements

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (training may be available through our apprentice program if you do not have this experience)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to provide clients with transportation to and from appointments, errands and community outings

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
• Experience as a Behavioral Technician (BT)
• Experience as a Paraprofessional
• Experience as a Teacher/ Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Provide clients with transportation on errands, appointments and community outings
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
