The host/hostess is the first to greet guests with courtesy and a smile, creating a positive first impression of the restaurant and bar. They are responsible for managing reservations, knowing the menus, and organizing the service areas. The host/hostess is also expected to recognize regular guests and have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills in French, both oral and written
  • An intermediate level of English is required to provide professional service to international customers, understand their specific requests, and respond effectively
  • Strong customer service experience with superior interpersonal skills, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with OpenTable is an asset.
  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality or restaurant settings is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests while managing reservations in line with Four Seasons standards.
  • Handle guest requests, anticipate needs, and provide personalized service.
  • Organize the host stand, oversee seating plans, and ensure balanced station assignments.
  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about the restaurant and hotel services.
  • Maintain menu quality and stay fully informed on daily specials and menu offerings.
  • Collaborate with other departments and promptly report any incidents or special requests to management.
