About The Position

Albany Med Health System, the capital region's academic medical center, is seeking a third partner to join its Division of Gynecologic Oncology. The practice, based at Albany Medical Center, currently has two collaborative partners and serves a regional population of over one million people, with patients up to 160 miles away. The system offers the full spectrum of gynecologic cancer care, including surgical management, chemotherapy administration, and multidisciplinary treatment, with close collaboration with surgical subspecialists. The practice has expanded to serve the Saratoga community and plans to establish additional outpatient services in Glens Falls. The division is part of a well-rounded Obstetrics and Gynecology department where all subspecialties are housed together, fostering collaboration and support. The generalist group provides strong coverage for obstetric emergencies, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine manages most placenta accreta cases, reducing OB call demands. With support from a maternal-fetal medicine colleague, weekend call with three gynecologic oncologists will be one in four. The system is developing a clinical trials program, and a candidate with experience in clinical trials management can help shape this initiative.
