About The Position

The Seasonal Gymnastics Instructor represents the City of West St. Paul and is responsible for actively leading and teaching the gymnastics program to serve youth, 1.5 – 6 years old. The programs are designed to teach beginner level gymnastics skills in a fun, safe environment. Classes are typically offered on Saturday afternoons. This job posting may close early once position is filled.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Previous training/experience in gymnastics.
• Previous experience working or volunteering with youth.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Previous coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for youth and families.
• Teach various skill levels and ages in tumbling and gymnastics.
• Provides excellent customer service to families and patrons; enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Maintain on-going communication with Recreation Supervisor, Gymnastics Coordinator, and other instructors regarding program effectiveness and issues.
• Set up, break down, and store equipment as needed.
• Use basic first aid procedures to assist any injured facility users.
