About The Position

We’re looking for a gymnastics experienced, energetic, and dependable instructor to join our team. You don’t have to know The Little Gym’s curriculum yet — we’ll train you on our teaching methods — but we do want someone who already has a strong foundation in gymnastics and feels comfortable teaching and demonstrating gymnastics skills. The Little Gym is a gymnastics based enrichment and physical development center for children ages 4 months through 12 years. Our programs combine gymnastics, movement, music, and learning to help children develop physical skills, confidence, and important life skills in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. As a member of our team, you’ll be part of a community dedicated to helping kids grow stronger, more confident, and more capable — both inside and outside the gym.

Requirements

Previous gymnastics experience as a gymnast, coach, instructor, or similar role.
Love working with kids and genuinely enjoy watching them learn and grow.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and comfortable being silly, getting on the floor, and playing like a kid.
Comfortable demonstrating gymnastics skills and physically assisting children when needed.
Understand that parents are just as important as the kids. You can communicate professionally and make families feel welcomed and valued.
Dependable, coachable, and willing to jump in wherever you’re needed.
Love having fun, but also know when it’s time to buckle down and get the job done.
Voted most likely to be in a good mood by your high school classmates.

Responsibilities

Teach gymnastics based classes for children ages 3 years through 12 years using The Little Gym’s proven curriculum and teaching methods.
Use your gymnastics knowledge to safely demonstrate, spot, and teach age appropriate skills.
Create a warm, fun, and encouraging environment where every child feels successful.
Give each child the attention and encouragement they need to build confidence and learn new skills.
Treat every class and every child as if it’s their first day — EVERY WEEK!
Provide an outstanding customer and membership experience. We treat our members like family here.
Keep the gym clean, organized, safe, and ready for the next class.
Be an active part of the team by helping with events, camps, birthday parties, and other gym activities as needed.
