About The Position

High school Park View gymnastics assistant coaching position. The season runs during the winter, from November through February. The assistant coach works cooperatively with the head athletic coach and the athletic department to support a well-structured program, and performs other related duties as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Requirements

• Coaching experience or participation in the sport at the high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training, or enrollment in a current CPR and First Aid training course.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia teaching license candidate or full-time classified employee of Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Work cooperatively with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed to implement the sports program.
• Recommend disciplinary actions for players who violate training rules and procedures.
• Foster athletes’ desire to win, good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride in their school and community.
• Perform other duties related to the assistant athletic coach position as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
