Gym Monitor - Swift Creek YMCA
About The Position
The Swift Creek Family YMCA is currently seeking part-time responsible individuals to oversee gymnasium services and activities. The gym monitor will be responsible for the overall gymnasium services, including special projects as assigned as well as gymnasium maintenance, inventory of equipment, and the set-up and breakdown of events. Maintaining surveillance during games, activities, and member participation is integral to this role as is facilitating seating and set up for gym rental, as necessary. It is essential that this individual build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
Requirements
- Service-oriented
- Role model with a member-first attitude
- Able to recognize and respond to unsafe situations
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, and related business equipment
- Able to communicate effectively with others
- At least 18 years of age
