About The Position

We are seeking a gWMS Functional Expert to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role focuses on Warehouse Automation and understanding gWMS features. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of logistics business operations, Warehouse Management Systems, and automated Material Handling Equipment. You will be responsible for functional solution architecture, interface design, end-to-end process orchestration, and testing integrations with KNAPP Warehouse Control System (KiSoft WCS).

Requirements

• Understanding logistics business operations, Warehouse Management Systems, and automated Material Handling Equipment.
• Experience with functional solution architecture, interface design, end-to-end process orchestration, and testing integrations with KNAPP Warehouse Control System (KiSoft WCS).
• Experience defining interface specifications and message handshakes (RESTful APIs, message queues, socket communications).
• Experience ensuring system logic supports strict serial number (SN), country of origin (COO), and transaction tracking.
• Experience authoring Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user journeys, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Experience developing test strategies and leading execution across FAT, SIT, SAT, and UAT.
• Experience with floor validation and emulation, including station ergonomics, pick-to-light/put-to-light workflows, scanner configurations, and system recovery protocols.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Logistics Operations, Systems Engineering, Project Management, IT Network/Infrastructure teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• SAP EWM Extended Warehouse Management

Responsibilities

• Lead functional blueprinting for automated warehouse processes, including Goods-to-Person (GTP) picking, decanting/induction, tote/carton auto-consolidation, multi-deep case storage/retrieval, and automated replenishment.
• Define interface specifications and message handshakes (RESTful APIs, message queues, socket communications) between gWMS and KNAPP KiSoft WCS (e.g., container routing, order line releases, pick confirmations, exception handling).
• Ensure system logic supports strict serial number (SN), country of origin (COO), and transaction tracking across WMS, WCS, automated stations and manual fallbacks.
• Author comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user journeys, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop test strategies and lead execution across Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Partner with controls and automation engineers to validate station ergonomics, pick-to-light/put-to-light workflows, scanner configurations, and system recovery protocols under emulated and live loads.
• Partner with Logistics Operations, Systems Engineering, Project Management, IT Network/Infrastructure teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to maintain high-availability warehouse execution.
