About The Position
The Gutter Production Associate at SRS Building Products plays a vital role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of metal forming processes to meet customer specifications and production deadlines. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining roll forming machines, troubleshooting operational errors, and ensuring optimal production output with minimal material waste, all while adhering to safety standards in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine operating errors.
- Proficient knowledge of machine operations, including specifications necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate inventory counting.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency in English for effective verbal and written communication.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred; training is available for entry-level candidates.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered an advantage.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll forming machinery with precision to produce metal products that meet the specific requirements detailed in work orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance by consistently checking gauges, dials, and other indicators, swiftly identifying and resolving any operational issues to maintain continuous production flow.
- Implement regular maintenance routines to guarantee the optimal performance of manufacturing machinery, thereby preventing production interruptions and extending machine longevity.
- Optimize material usage by strategically reducing non-chargeable waste, fostering a cost-effective production environment that ensures maximum material utilization.
- Accurately document material usage and completed tasks, ensuring meticulous record-keeping for material management and providing detailed information for billing and inventory purposes.
