We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Gut–Brain Specialist to join our team. As part of our integrated care model, you’ll provide short-term, targeted behavioral health support to members managing digestive health conditions. You’ll collaborate closely with our registered dietitians, health coaches, and medical providers to address the mental and emotional aspects of gut health, helping members build resilience, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. Requirements

  • Licensed professional able to provide gut-brain therapy (preference given to LCSW or gut psychologist)
  • Active license in at least one U.S. state with willingness to obtain additional licenses (employer covers costs).
  • Experience or strong passion in GI-related mental health.
  • Experience delivering therapy via telehealth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate patients in a short-term format.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in multiple states
  • Specialized training in CBT, ACT, mindfulness, or other evidence-based short-term modalities.
  • 2+ years post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in healthcare, integrated care, or chronic illness support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver brief, targeted therapy focused on stress, anxiety, depression, and behavioral health concerns linked to digestive conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with referring clinicians (RDs, HCs, MDs) to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
  • Document sessions in the shared EHR, adhering to HIPAA and internal privacy guidelines.
  • Identify and escalate crisis situations per organizational protocols.
  • Refer members to external partners (e.g., Headway) when needs exceed program scope.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing care coordination.
  • Stay current on best practices in gut–brain health and short-term therapy approaches.
