About The Position

SyBridge Technologies is seeking experienced Gundrill Machinists to join their growing manufacturing team. The role involves working with precision equipment to produce high-quality components in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision manufacturing, continuous improvement, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances. As a Gundrill Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Gundrill machines to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of machining experience; gundrilling experience is preferred
  • Experience setting up and operating gundrilling equipment or similar precision machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, machine setups, and inspection techniques
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate gundrilling machines to produce precision tooling components
  • Read and interpret engineering CAD designs, specifications, and work instructions
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards
  • Select, install, and maintain cutting tools and tooling required for production
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to optimize performance and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate tooling or equipment concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and lean manufacturing practices
