About The Position

SyBridge Technologies is seeking experienced Gundrill Machinists to join their growing manufacturing team. The role involves working with precision equipment to produce high-quality components in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision manufacturing, continuous improvement, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances. As a Gundrill Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Gundrill machines to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of machining experience; gundrilling experience is preferred
Experience setting up and operating gundrilling equipment or similar precision machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, machine setups, and inspection techniques
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Set up and operate gundrilling machines to produce precision tooling components
Read and interpret engineering CAD designs, specifications, and work instructions
Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards
Select, install, and maintain cutting tools and tooling required for production
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to optimize performance and accuracy
Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate tooling or equipment concerns to the appropriate team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and lean manufacturing practices
