Gummy Line Machine Operator Trainee

Our Gummy Line is currently looking to add a full time Gummy Line Machine Operator Trainee to our team. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, experience running machines and large equipment, pays attention to detail and can troubleshoot. Requirements
- Must work well within a team environment.

- Work with operations specialist and fellow operators to ensure all production needs are met.
- Attend work as scheduled including overtime as needed.
- Stand for the majority of the day.
- Use repeated wrist motions without distress.
- High level of manual dexterity required.
- Lift and carry up to 55lbs.
- Bend, stoop, climb ladders and kneel.
- Push approximately 500lbs on carts.
- Follow directions and safety procedures.
- Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities
- Learning and mastering the Gummy Line Operator position.
- Mastering all the gummy line production stages including the finished product stage.
- Gummy line start up, continual operation, adjustments, preventative maintenance, clean up/sanitation, material weighing and staging, boiler inspection, chilled water inspection, compressed air inspection, troubleshooting, gummy line shutdown, system Clean in Place (CIP), quality assurance, GMP compliance.
- Running the cooling rooms, de-molder, sander and bottling line.
- Maintaining a safe environment, metal detection, bag weight verification, and maintaining area cleanliness and sanitation.
- Processing shipping labels, light maintenance duties, and other duties as assigned.
- Producing the highest quality product and working to the highest standards.
- Ensuring the gummy line is running at a high standard even in their absence.
- Ensuring quality of the gummies throughout the entire process with pre-established guidelines. Includes but not limited to raw material quality, gummy quality, piece weights, and piece dimensions, sensory and visual quality.
- Start up, operation, shut down and CIP of entire system.
- Preventive maintenance either in the form of Maintenance WOs or work performed by the operator.
- Weighing and preparing active ingredients.
- Initiating emergency repairs as needed for efficient operation.
- Communication with Production Manager, Operations Specialist, Maintenance, operators and others as needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Active involvement in continued improvement in operation and quality.
- Training operators as needed.
- Providing a positive example through leadership qualities.
- Ensuring a clean, sanitary and safe work environment.
- Shared responsibility and participation in GMPs.
- Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance.
- Following good documentation practices.
- Assisting other departments as needed.
