About The Position

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking a temporary Guitar Packer to join their team in San Bernardino, CA. This role is part of the packaging department, which is the final stage of the assembly process, preparing guitars and basses for shipping. Employees will rotate among various tasks including case selection, packing, box assembly, sealing, and operating a pallet runner. The goal is to ensure packaged products meet all required shipping standards. Employees may assist in other functions during a shift to meet daily shipping demands. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 6 months.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Comfortable working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment.
Able to receive feedback and work well in a team environment.
Operate Pallet Jack and other material handling equipment.
Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, and OT (up to 10 hour shift) and Saturdays if requested.
Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Follow warehouse policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks, e.g. unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, and packing, with strong attention to detail.
Safely and efficiently prepare products for Guitar Inspectors.
Pack/Unpack guitars (and amps) to cover at least 2 guitar inspection tables.
Maintain a clean and organized floor including sweeping, mopping, refuge disposal, and keeping entrances and the inspection area neat and in an orderly fashion.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
