Guidewire Solutions Engineer
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Guidewire Solutions Engineer to deliver configuration, integration, and customization across Guidewire InsuranceSuite products—PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter—and Guidewire Cloud. The position focuses on hands-on Gosu development, integration design, product model configuration, and Guidewire Cloud upgrades. The engineer will work with business analysts and subject-matter experts to deliver reliable insurance-platform features. The role collaborates with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. It also involves contributing to code and design reviews and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate has delivered production Guidewire work for insurance carriers, understands the trade-offs of deep platform customization, and demonstrates strong engineering discipline and communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Five or more years of Guidewire development experience.
- Deep expertise in Gosu programming and the Guidewire data model.
- Hands-on customization experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Strong understanding of product model and rule design.
- Experience building Guidewire integrations, including messaging, batch, and plugin integrations.
- Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of the Guidewire database schema.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Guidewire ACE certifications.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud upgrades.
- Familiarity with Guidewire Digital portals or DataHub/InfoCenter.
- Insurance domain expertise across P&C lines.
- Experience with reinsurance, policy administration, or claims modernization programs.
Responsibilities

- Develop with Gosu and design Guidewire integrations.
