About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking experienced Guidance, Navigation & Controls Analysis Engineers, Mid-Career and Senior, to join the Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT) supporting ICBM Minuteman flight control hardware, flight batteries, raceway cables, and automated test equipment. The team works at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and provides engineering services to maintain the ICBM Minuteman Weapon System under the Propulsion Subsystem Support Contract (PSSC). The selected candidates will work in a highly skilled, collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in accredited Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Mid- Career, level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
  • Senior Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years’ related work experience
  • This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • A U.S. Secret Security Clearance pre-start is preferred but not required.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic hardware using schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documents
  • Experience with automated test equipment, flight control systems, or avionics hardware
  • Experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and failure analysis of hardware and electronic systems
  • Experience developing or modifying test procedures, scripts, or automated test solutions
  • Experience with requirements development, verification, and validation for electrical systems
  • Experience supporting integration, checkout, and sustainment of test hardware and support equipment

Responsibilities

  • Support failure investigations and root cause analyses for flight hardware, test equipment, electronic components, and subsystem interfaces
  • Participate in system requirements analysis, verification, and validation for electrical and test system functions
  • Translate functional requirements into specifications (hardware or software) and designs, specify and evaluate systems and architectures to comply with company, customer and regulatory requirements
  • Perform test data analysis to validate system against design requirements and objectives
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical and electronic issues in automated test equipment, flight control hardware, and associated support systems
  • Perform circuit-level analysis using schematics, wiring diagrams, interface control documents, and test data to identify root causes of hardware and system discrepancies
  • Support integration, checkout, maintenance, and validation of automated test equipment used for flight control hardware verification and sustainment
  • Develop, review, and execute electrical test procedures, test plans, and verification scripts for hardware and system-level testing
  • Analyze electrical signals, test results, and performance data using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems
  • Evaluate electrical interfaces between hardware, software, sensors, actuators, controllers, and test instrumentation to ensure proper system operation
  • Assist in calibration, configuration management, and sustainment of test equipment and hardware
  • Prepare technical reports, discrepancy documentation, status briefings, and corrective action recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with design, systems, software, manufacturing, and test teams to implement corrective actions and improve hardware reliability
  • Review, update, and maintain technical documentation including schematics, cable drawings, test procedures, interface documents, and engineering reports
  • Support environmental, functional, and regression testing of flight control hardware and related electrical systems
  • Apply engineering principles to identify opportunities for design improvement, test efficiency, and long-term system sustainment
  • Evaluate system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition
