About The Position
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on development and integration of GNC software for mission applications, including simulation, testing, and flight software environments. You will work across software and systems teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.
Requirements
- Active security clearance required
- Experience developing software for guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging software solutions for GNC algorithms
- Experience working with software configuration management tools
- Experience integrating software into simulation and flight software environments
- Strong understanding of mathematical and logical algorithm development
- Experience coordinating simulation runs and data processing activities
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, standards, and tools
- Ability to analyze system requirements, inputs, and outputs to develop software solutions
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute GNC software development activities
- Develop and implement software solutions for GNC algorithms
- Integrate software into simulations and flight software systems
- Coordinate pipeline execution, testing, and Monte Carlo simulation runs
- Debug and resolve software issues and errors
- Develop and maintain documentation and operating instructions
- Analyze system performance and refine software solutions
- Ensure compliance with software standards and development processes
