About The Position

In this position, the selected candidate will report directly to the GN&C Manager within the GN&C Talent Center organization of Lockheed Martin Space. The Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Subsystems and CoreSim Team is made up of enthusiastic and talented individuals that design and produce the hardware, algorithms, and software required to solve the challenging problems of controlling spacecraft systems in a harsh, zero-g environment. In this Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer (Staff, Level IV) position, we are seeking an experienced GNC Engineer who will serve as a Line of Sight (LOS) SME. The role specifically is looking for a specialist in the subject of optical line of sight (LOS) jitter analysis for precision pointing spacecraft to support multiple satellite buses including, but not limited to, the LM400 and LM2100 satellite series. In addition to an expertise in the field of LOS jitter analysis, the candidate should have familiarity with GN&C subsystem architecture, systems engineering, disturbance modelling, dynamometer testing, space vehicle jitter testing, requirements flow down, early program design and analysis, structural analysis, Damping, Dynamics Modeling, Modeling Uncertainty factors, LOS jitter analysis and time/frequency domain analysis.
